What is difference between LAN and WAN?
LAN stands for Local Area Network, and refers to a network that connects computers in a small area. For example, if all the computers in a building are connected, the network is called LAN. WAN, on the other hand, stands for Wide Area Network. It refers to a network that stretches across a wider area like a city or a country. Wan transmits information through telephone lines, microwaves and satellites. The Internet is the largest WAN, spanning the entire world.
